Charleston Dock Doctors LLC has been named the 2026 Charleston’s Choice winner for Dock Builder, making this our second year in a row.
Winning once meant a lot. Winning again means something a little different.
Marine construction is one of those businesses where the finished dock is only part of the story. The rest happens in the details: answering the phone, showing up when we say we will, explaining why we’re recommending one repair over another, keeping an eye on materials, and being willing to have an honest conversation when a waterfront project changes course.
That’s the part of this award we appreciate most.
Charleston Dock Doctors LLC works on docks, piers, floating docks, boat lifts, seawalls, bulkheads, retaining walls, and waterfront repairs throughout Charleston, James Island, John’s Island, Mount Pleasant, Folly Beach, and the surrounding Lowcountry. Every site is different. Tides change. Soil changes. Existing structures surprise you. Saltwater finds every shortcut.
So our approach has always been pretty simple: pay attention, communicate clearly, and build it right.
We’re especially grateful because Charleston’s Choice is a local recognition. The 2025 award placed Charleston Dock Doctors in The Post and Courier’s Dock Builder category, and receiving that recognition again in 2026 tells us that the relationships we’re trying to build around Charleston’s waterfront are being noticed.
There’s no trophy that replaces good work. We know that.
But it’s pretty satisfying to see our crew recognized for the same things we’ve tried to build this company around from the beginning: craftsmanship, transparency, integrity, and treating the person on the other side of the estimate like someone we’d want to work with ourselves.
To everyone who voted, hired us, referred us to a neighbor, left a review, or trusted us with a piece of their waterfront: thank you.
