Charleston Dock Doctors LLC was formed in January 2023 by JP Maderson. After working within the industry and then leading crews under another outfit, JP saw room for improvement industry-wide and set out on his own. He founded Charleston Dock Doctors on the idea that integrity and reputation can be crafted as finely as the seawalls and docks we build.

As the company’s founder, JP leads both business operations and on-site strategy. Known for his integrity, efficiency, and craftsmanship, he ensures each project is completed with care and attention to detail.
Outside the job site, JP is an avid rock climber and regenerative agriculture enthusiast. He also has a strong passion for horticulture and landscape design—and is always happy to offer guidance on sustainable shoreline and property planning.
